Ryan Perez-Carrillo, M.Ed., CCC-SLP, M.M. - Voice

Ryan is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist who holds a master’s degree from Nevada State University. He provides therapy to children and adolescents from birth to 18 years old who have communication delays and or disorders (including those who are considered "medically fragile").  

 

He has worked in the home health, outpatient, and school settings. Ryan is a specialist in Early Intervention (EI) and delivers therapy to children from birth to three years of age. He strongly believes in helping families achieve their goals by providing family education and successful play-based strategies to parents and frustrated toddlers.

 

He also provides feeding therapy to “picky eaters” with food aversions as well as to those with chewing & swallowing disorders (dysphagia). Ryan is an active member of the IAOM and is in training to become a Certified Orofacial Myologist (COM). He is passionate about working with children who have tongue and lip ties.

 

He has experience working with children who present with, or who are at risk for, a wide range of congenital and acquired developmental disorders including but not limited to:

Awards:

Ryan is a recipient of the prestigious ASHA Award for Continuing Education (ACE). The ACE is awarded to Speech-Language Pathologist or Audiologist who have made a concerted, personal effort to continue professional learning beyond an academic degree by earning seven ASHA Continuing Education Units (CEUs) which is equivalent to 70 contact hours in a thirty-six month period.

 

FUN FACTS:

Ryan is also trained in classical singing and holds a master’s degree in Vocal Performance from Miami University (Ohio) and a bachelor’s degree in Applied Voice from UNLV. He is a former member of the award winning Miami University Opera Theater and has been featured in award winning productions. He enjoys singing Opera, Art Songs, Musical Theater, R&B, and Jazz. Ryan periodically performs throughout the Las Vegas Valley. He also enjoys cooking, exercising, watching sci-fi, fantasy, & anime, and spending time with family, friends, & his cat.
